I will never understand why helping refugees is a bad thing. I will never understand why welcoming nearly ready-made consumers and tax payers is a bad thing. Only white supremacy allows our government to legitimize what is otherwise a clear moral duty and an economic plus.

Let’s be sure that the blue wave doesn’t forget this; we have a very full agenda, and we have to continue to push and speak and act to ensure that we do what is right in every area of our national life.
